Tallow is a nourishing fat traditionally rendered from beef.

When carefully purified and prepared, it creates a rich, natural skincare ingredient that is close to the oils naturally found in our skin.

At ZOLENA, we use carefully prepared, grass-fed beef tallow in our skincare products to create simple, nourishing formulas for dry and sensitive skin.

Why should I use TALLOW ?

Tallow is a traditional skincare ingredient that has been used for generations.

What we love about it is how rich and nourishing it feels on the skin.

It helps support dry, mature, and sensitive-feeling skin by leaving it feeling soft, hydrated, protected, and comfortable.
In our Zolena products, tallow is the base of our face cream because it melts beautifully into the skin and gives a natural healthy glow.

It is simple, rich, and deeply moisturizing without needing a long list of complicated ingredients.

What about our TALLOW ?

Our tallow is Canadian and made here in New Brunswick in small batches.

For Zolena, we use grass-fed beef tallow, which is slowly rendered for at least 24 hours. After that, we wash and purify it three times to help create a cleaner, softer, creamier texture for skincare.
